The two-time Grammy winner and NCIS: Los Angeles star is set to host Spike TV’s Lip Sync Battle based on the celebrity lip-syncing segment featured on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. On Wednesday, the Viacom-owned network announced the rapper will host the 10-episode series and will be credited as the producer, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The Lip Sync Battle segment is a regular on “Jimmy Fallon”, where celebrities go toe-to-toe lip-syncing a song of their choice. The prize? Bragging rights and the chance for a “straight to series”. L.L. stated “Like the rest of the world, I’m a big fan of these battles, but this show is going to bring it to a whole new level. I’m thrilled to be working with Jimmy Fallon, John Krasinski, Stephen Merchant and the entire team to host the show and can’t wait for the fans at home to join in!” The series will begin taping this month in New York and will premiere April 2.
