Tank Vents “Maybe I Should Have Been Born White” Due to Lackluster Album Sales TheNV December 20, 2014 Music Tank is definitely wondering what the hell is going on as the sales for his latest effort ‘Stronger‘ debuted. Seems the singer’s sixth solo album only sold 16,621 copies its first week, resulting in his record label, Atlantic, pulling funding from the project…meaning no more videos nor promotion period. Tank directed his frustration to his Instagram following via a public rant. Check out his vent below. He further adds: “Please enjoy my last R&B album, ‘Stronger‘ cause you’ll never get another one!” Has musicianship gone out the window? Do most of today’s artists sacrifice artistry for the sake of sales? Sadly, the answer would be yes. We feel you Tank. As the old saying goes, “If you can’t beat them, join them”.
