Regina Hall and Morris Chestnut are stated to team up again in a psychotic thriller titled When The Bough Breaks. The films finds the stars taking on a more serious role in this new project from Screen Gems.

According to media promotion explaining the premise behind the film, seems the plot picks up where the 1992 film The Hand That Rocks The Cradle leaves off…except with an fixation on the husband instead of the baby. View the film’s breakdown below.


“The story centers on a professional couple that is unable to conceive a child and decides to hire a young, blue collar woman as a surrogate. The woman quickly develops a psychotic fixation on the husband.

Bough, directed by Jon Cassar (“24”), is just one film in a three-picture deal Chestnut has signed with Screen Gems. He is also slated to star in and produce The Syndicate, and will star in the previously announced thriller The Perfect Guy, with Sanaa Lathan and Michael Ealy.”
