PHARRELL_DSCF0087_RE1_FULL_10x8_HRHitmaker, media mogul and possibly vampire, Pharrell Williams continues to slay the fashion world with another collaboration on the horizon – this time with the international Japanese basics retailer, Uniqlo.

2014 has been a banner year for musician-come-designer, with a slew of awards under his belt and a new album out, he’s turned his attention toward one of his first loves – streetwear. Having maintained his youthful, skater vibe, Williams signed up as collaborator and spokesperson for Uniqlo’s “Model T” collection for spring/summer. Produced by the brand’s creative director and Japanese streetwear legend, Nigo – Model T will feature a collection of graphic tees and hats (of the non-Arby’s shaped variety) for men and women and will launch officially March 21. This partnership is a natural fit, since Nigo helped to design Pharrell’s previous streetwear brands Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream Foot Wear.

The launch will also include a limited edition run of t-shirts released on March 21, featuring Pharrell’s personal trademark “i am OTHER,” which encapsulates his creative way of life through art, music, apparel, film, TV, technology and multimedia. In a different kind of “rap battle,” Pharrell recently settled with Black Eyed Peas rapper,, over the copyright and its similarity to his “I Am Significant.” trademark.

Earlier last month, the media mogul also showed off his hippie tendencies, with the announcement of his collaboration with G-Star Raw to create a denim line using thread made from partially recycled plastic collected from the ocean, dubbed “Raw For The Oceans.”

The first collection is set to launch online and in G-Star stores on August 15.
